Will Guild Wars 2 Suck?
Guild Wars 2 is a MMORPG or a massively multiplayer online role playing game developed by ArenaNet and published by NCsoft. It has a rating of ‘T’ by ESRB and 12 by PEGI. Guild Wars 2 is the sequel to the 2005 game Guild Wars.
Plot: In Guild Wars 2 Elder Dragons, a Lovecraftian species has seized control of Tyria since the original Guild Wars. Guild Wars 2 is set in a persistent world along with a story that unravels in instanced environments. The game takes place approximately 250 years after the events of the Guild Wars: Eye of the North expansion. Zhaitan the evil dragon has risen and formed an army of the undead which threatens all of Tyria where the game is set.

You can create a character using one of the 5 races and one of the 8 professions.
Guild Wars 2 Gameplay:
Gamers can choose a character from the combination of the eight professions and the five races. The race and profession of the character chosen will determine the skills that a gamer has access to in the game. All professions or classes have a method of maintain their own health. An element of strategy is introduced where a player can only select 10 skills from a skills pool. The first five skills will be determined by the combination of the player’s profession and the race. The sixth skill is a healing skill. Skills seven, eight and nine will not have any defined roles and will only be unlocked as the player progresses through the game. The tenth skill is an elite skill which will be locked initially.
In Guild Wars 2 the focus will be on quality of skills unlike its predecessor where the focus was on quantity of skills. It features a story line that is responsive to players’ actions, something that is not common among multiplayer role playing games. There are also eight crafting disciplines available to players such as Jeweler, Cook, Tailor, Leatherworker, Artificer, Armorsmith, Huntsman and Weaponsmith. There are a lot of crafting trainers and recipes to be found in the game.
There are also side tasks available but these do not have any major impact on your character’s development or advancement. It also features “World PvP”, which is large scale combat taking place in a persistent world where players are able to drop in and drop out at will. Gamers will be able to join World PvP in a variety of roles with rewards that are proportionate to the success they achieve.

Guild Wars 2 Release Date: Guild Wars 2 is set to be release on August 28, 2012 for the PC (Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 Minimum). Gamers who have pre-purchased the game from certain retailers can play it three days early from the 25th of August.
